Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive demolition cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions using tools like Bluebeam. Develop detailed proposals that include scope of work, pricing, schedules, and resource requirements to secure project wins. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors through negotiation to establish fair and competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to compile accurate bids and track project costs effectively. Conduct site visits to assess demolition requirements, safety considerations, and logistical challenges to refine estimates. Manage contract negotiations and review contractual documents to ensure scope alignment and risk mitigation. Support project management teams by providing cost control insights, tracking budget adherence, and assisting with change order processes. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on demolition projects or heavy civil work. Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes. Familiarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar software platforms. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors to achieve win-win outcomes. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into demolition operations and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to coordinate across teams and present clear, detailed proposals. Prior experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management within the construction industry is highly desirable.
