With over 30 years of experience, we pride ourselves in Traditional Craftsmanship and Modern Glazing Solutions. SGM serves private and public sectors with expertise in Schools, Libraries, Universities, Fire and Police Stations, Water Treatment Plants, Hospitals, Museums, Community Centers, Tenant Improvement, and Building Modernization. Role Description Sherrin Glass and MEtal, Inc. , is seeking a Glazing Estimator with 2-3 years of experience in commercial storefronts, curtain walls, all-aluminum entrances, glass, and glazing to prepare bid proposals for private and public projects. The candidate must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US. Responsibilities Read and understand all the Spec Sections that pertain to your scope of work. Prepare an accurate Takeoff, using the floor plan. Confirm quantities by matching your quantities to the elevations, Door and Window Schedules Send a list of materials needed to complete your scope to vendors for a quote Follow up on the quote request to ensure a timely response Read and verify that the returned quote meets the specifications and that the quantities and finishes are correct Prepare a comprehensive Bid Proposal and distribute to bidders Skills and Competencies Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Teams, Bluebeam, and GDS Estimating Software. Motivated, energetic, and a team player. Working Conditions • Estimator hours - 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

In-depth knowledge of glazing systems and construction methodologies Ability to read and interpret construction project specifications and blueprints Proficiency in estimating software, preferably GDS / Blubeam and Microsoft Office Word and Excel Strong analytical and mathematical skills to accurately assess project costs and quantities
