Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Construction Estimator to join our team. By providing accurate cost projections, the Construction Estimator plays a crucial role in ensuring the profitability and success of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractors' costs. Analyze blueprints, plans, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs related to bids as the project develops. Work closely with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and Subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Present prepared estimates for use by management in planning and organizing project budgets. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, and use software to calculate estimates and evaluate a project's financial feasibility
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong mathematical skills and the ability to analyze data effectively. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in estimating cost. Persuasive communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Familiarity with construction management software and tools for estimating costs. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
This role primarily involves office-based work with extended periods of sitting while working on a computer. Occasional site visits may be required, which can include walking, standing, or climbing on uneven surfaces. Light lifting of documents, plans, or laptops may be necessary.
