Job Summary & Description:

We are currently seeking a Tank Cleaning Shipyard Estimator who is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Tank Cleaning maintenance, fabrication, and modernization projects. This position entails project specifications, labor requirements, materials, subcontractor costs, and production schedules in order to create thorough proposals all while assuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. Job is onsite Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with occasionally mandatory OT.

Responsibilities:

Following company processes to analyze project requirements, plans, and specifications for preparation of compliant estimates Evaluate and incorporate performance data into detailed cost estimates, including labor hours and material costs Analyze, review, and get approval on all proposals and budget preparations Maintain excellent knowledge of the shipbuilding industry, including trends that impact our business operation and profitability Perform detailed analyses to prepare cost estimates and calculate gross profit margins, ensuring alignment with our company goals. Qualifications:

Knowledge of practices and procedures for developing, preparing, and forecasting cost estimates Estimator must know how to bid D&D for tanks, technical flushing for oil potable water and Tank cleaning. Aware of general specifications for overhaul of surface ships (GSO) Proficient knowledge of Tech Flushing (MRG/CPP/SSDG), Tank Flushing (ECW, CHILL

WTR, LPAIR

), system drawings (rip out/install), system tech manuals (oil capacity) Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills to present accurate estimates Knowledge of Shipyard Repair Industry regulations and standards Experience estimating commercial and U.S. Navy vessel repair projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and estimating software. Participate in pre-bid meetings, customer site visits, and project kickoff meetings as required.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
