Job Description
$70,000-$75,000 annually depending upon experience. Job Summary U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking an Estimator in Olivehurst, CA The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support to the Sales Department and U.S. Pipe Customers by providing professional specification review, quotation entry, training, and quotation advice to customer and sales. Primary Responsibilities Prepares final bid cost estimates and creates quotations by entering bill of materials into the online quotation system. Consults with sales, manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Sets up price basis for sales to negotiate scope of supply. Performs professional specification review. Coordinates all assigned Request for Quotations (RFQ), including all required supporting tasks. Performs other duties as assigned by managers.
Qualifications Required:
High School or GED required; with two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree or bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Excellent communication, organization and administrative skills. Experience communicating to and building relationships with internal and external customers. Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software. Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Able to perform and thrive in a team-oriented environment as well as self-motivated to work independently.Preferred:
2 to 4 years' experience in estimating manufacturing jobs. Must have strong ability to meet deadlines and manage information from multiple locations. Ability to work accurately and be detail oriented. Previous customer service experience a plus. The optimal candidate will be someone who is very teachable and eager to learn and grow at US Pipe, who is also mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
