Description:
The Estimator/Inside Sales shall have strong knowledge in CNC machining, the RFQ process for raw materials and familiar with secondary manufacturing processes, including but not limited to: grinding, honing, EDM, heat treat, anodize, and paint. The Estimator is able to interpret drawing specifications and customer requirements in order to provide full cost estimating to provide costs and lead time to the customers.
Responsibilities :
Review of drawings, data, and quoting required to successfully estimate all in-house and outside manufacturing operations to meet customer requirements. Have basic customer service and sales skills to be able to follow up and negotiate with customers when required in regard to pricing and lead time Communicate with internal department head including purchasing, manufacturing, and quality in order to obtain estimated costs and lead time Communicate with key vendors to obtain outside secondary costs including anodize, paint, EDM, sheet metal, welding, and grinding processes.
Qualifications :
3 years of experience or more in related position
Education:
high school minimum, NO Bachelor degree in engineering is required as long as the candidate is able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge required Complete understanding of machining operations as well as secondary manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of ANSY Y14.5 and GD&T engineering drawings. Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team. Strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to think critically. Team and Customer focused attitude. Strong work ethic. • E2 Shop Systems and Paperless Parts experience is a strong plus.
