Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimating Associate to support our Estimator in preparing accurate and competitive project bids and providing admin support for field operations. This part-time role is ideal for students, early-career professionals, or individuals looking to gain experience in construction estimating, project management, and general operations. The Estimator Assistant will work closely with the Estimator to gather data, organize documentation, and perform administrative and technical tasks that ensure timely and accurate project proposals and project paperwork. Qualifications & Skills Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field (preferred but not required). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating or project management software a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Interest in construction, estimating, or project management as a career path. Work Schedule Part-time or Full-time position: 20/40 hours per week in-office, flexible around class schedule as needed. Hours of operation are between 8am-4:30pm. Estimation & Pre-Construction Assist the estimator in analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documents to prepare accurate project cost estimates.

• Track bid due dates, submission requirements, and project timelines. Assist with post-bid follow-up documentation as directed. Identify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs. Help develop detailed and itemized bid proposals for submission. Gather and organize vendor quotes for materials, equipment, and services. Review addendums, changes, and updated bid documents to ensure accurate pricing. Support the Director of Operations in developing bid strategies. Bid/estimates based on leads and follows up with customers through project award. Utilize CRM to manage leads/deals through the bidding process until award or loss. Maintain electronic and physical project files. Provide clerical support including data entry, report formatting, and file organization. Project Support Assist Project Managers with job-related document changes, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders (as appropriate). Ensure updated drawings and scope changes are reflected in proposals, budgets and forecasts.
