We specialize in Public Works, commercial, general contracting, and construction management. General Construction Project Estimator Responsibilities The General Construction Project Estimator supports BCM Group's preconstruction and bidding activities for public works, commercial, institutional, renovation and general-construction projects.
This position is responsible for:
Perform detailed project estimates/takeoffs from plans, specifications and other project documents. Develop labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs by trade and cost code. Prepare conceptual, schematic, design-development and final bid estimates when applicable. Develop allowances, contingencies, escalation factors, general conditions, supervision and project overhead. Account for permits, testing, inspections, bonds, insurance, temporary facilities, logistics and project closeout. Review wage determinations and calculate applicable prevailing-wage labor costs. Evaluate project schedules and determine their effect on labor, supervision, equipment and general conditions. Prepare complete estimated project costs, including overhead and recommended profit. Document estimate assumptions, clarifications, exclusions and qualifications. Verify estimate accuracy before management review.Essential Requirements Job Type:

Dependent on experience Experience with commercial projects, including DSA-regulated school construction (K-12 and/or higher education), public works, commercial projects and modular builds. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to interpret construction documents, industry standards, and regulations. In-Depth knowledge of code compliance and OSHA-30 certification to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Proficiency in Procore and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies to drive project efficiency and innovation.Benefits
