Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to oversee projects from the initial customer meeting through final completion. This position combines estimating, project management, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, communicates professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. Because we are a small business, this role requires flexibility and a team-first attitude. No two days are exactly alike.
Responsibilities:
Estimating
  • Meet with prospective customers 2-3 days per week to evaluate projects and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates and proposals.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Follow up on outstanding estimates and help convert leads into sold projects.
  • Build strong customer relationships through honest communication and exceptional service. Project Management
  • Manage all projects that you sell from start to finish.
  • Schedule projects and coordinate with office staff, crews, and vendors.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers during, and after installation.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, or change requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Visit job sites as needed to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with field crews to resolve issues and keep projects moving efficiently. Team Support As a small company, everyone contributes to the overall success of the business. While your primary responsibilities are estimating and project management, you may also be asked to:
  • Order materials from suppliers.
  • Pick up or deliver tools and materials to job sites.
  • Help owners and office staff with operational needs.
  • Pitch in wherever needed to keep projects and the business running smoothly. We believe in an

  • mentality and are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team rather than working within rigid job boundaries.
Qualifications Required :
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and project management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and estimating software.
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Preferred
  • Fence industry experience.
  • Estimating and sales experience.
  • Experience reading plans and performing field measurements.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary of $75,000-$100,000, depending on experience.
