This role is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, and preparing accurate change order proposals. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of electrical construction estimating experience and is comfortable working with drawings, specifications, suppliers, subcontractors, and estimating software such as Accubid . Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and change order documents to determine the scope of work and estimating requirements. Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs for electrical change order work. Prepare accurate cost estimates and enter pricing into Accubid . Request and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for equipment, materials, and related services. Identify qualified suppliers and subcontractors capable of supporting project requirements. Review vendor and subcontractor quotes for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project plans and specifications. Analyze costs and ensure all change order estimates and takeoffs are completed accurately and on schedule. Prepare clear scope letters outlining inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and clarifications . Compile and finalize change order proposals for internal review and client distribution. Coordinate with project management, vendors, subcontractors, and other internal teams as needed to ensure accurate pricing. Qualifications 4+ years of electrical construction estimating experience . Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, plans, and specifications. Experience performing detailed electrical takeoffs and cost analysis. Experience with change order estimating is highly preferred. Proficiency with Accubid or similar electrical estimating software. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, suppliers, and subcontractor pricing. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
