About the Position The Senior Estimator plays a critical leadership role in driving regional procurement strategy and securing high-value work aligned with company objectives. This individual is responsible for leading the estimating function with a disciplined, strategic approach—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and risk alignment throughout the bid process. Working closely with Regional leadership and cross-functional teams, the Senior Estimator will oversee the full lifecycle of estimating—from opportunity evaluation and cost development through proposal submission and client engagement. This role also serves as a key liaison to clients, helping build lasting relationships that drive repeat business and long-term partnerships. In addition to technical excellence, the position requires strong leadership capability to mentor estimators, foster collaboration across business units, and continuously improve estimating practices in alignment with company standards. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 10+ years of construction estimating experience focused in joint trench utilities Proven experience leading complex bids and supervising team-based estimating efforts Broad experience across multiple project types and contract structures Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, cost control, and scheduling Deep understanding of construction contracts, risk assessment, and procurement strategy Experience with estimating and project management software, as well as Microsoft Office Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and compliance requirements Leadership & Business Skills Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop estimating teams Strong business acumen with the ability to align estimating strategy with corporate goals Excellent communication skills, including client presentations and executive-level reporting Proven ability to evaluate market trends and position the company for future opportunities Benefits Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement plan with company participation Paid time off and holidays Professional development, training, and career advancement opportunities Opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure and energy projects Collaborative, team-oriented culture with a strong safety focus Salary $180K - $200
