Patriot Contracting is a rapidly growing General Contractor serving all Northern California Counties from its office in Union City, CA. How You Can Make an Impact The Bid Coordinator will be responsible for gathering/assembling bid documents for estimators' review. This position will review proposals and estimates from subcontractors, fill out bid documents as assigned and ensure they are done accurately and in a timely manner, and ensure that they are timely submitted to the Owner before the bid date/time. The Bid Coordinator will need to be detail-oriented and driven, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the Estimating Team on larger-scale bids. How You Will Contribute Coordinate the preparation and submission of proposals and bids to ensure they meet client specifications and deadlines, involving gathering all necessary information and documents. Develop and maintain a database of past proposals, bids, and relevant documentation to streamline future bid processes. Analyze tender documents to understand client requirements and ensure compliance in all aspects of the bid. Facilitate bid strategy meetings to outline timelines, assign tasks, and set deadlines for team members involved in the bid process. Proofread bid documents for accuracy, completeness, and clarity, ensuring they are of high quality and free of errors. Review bid documents and specifications to ensure all bid requirements are identified and met. Manage the bid submission process through the appropriate channels, ensuring all electronic and hard copy submissions are formatted correctly, complete, and delivered on time. Conduct and post-bid reviews and feedback sessions with team members to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned for future bids. Attend pre-bid job walks and collect information and pictures. Maintain and source the best value and diverse subcontractors/suppliers/resources. What You Bring to the
Table Required:
Knowledgeable in City, County, and municipality requirements (i.e. Standard Plans and Specifications). Knowledgeable with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, quotes, purchase orders, etc. Strong computer aptitude and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Ability to travel to job sites as required. Ability to agree on completion dates and times for delegated work, paraphrase or repeat all verbal requests, keep track of delegated work, and complete delegated work on time with no surprises. Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean record.
Your Prior Experience Required:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED Required :
Minimum 2-3 years of verifiable experience in a construction office environment performing bid related, estimating, administrative or project coordinator duties.
Desired:
Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Experience with contracts and AHJ Permits/Spec/Standards. 5 years of verifiable experience in a construction office environment performing administrative or project coordinator duties. Estimating experience preferred (even if takeoffs only).
Our Competitive Package Pay:
$80,000 - $90,000 annually This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge. Above and Beyond Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
