ABOUT THE COMPANY
Electric Vehicle Infrastructure [EVI] is a leading provider of EV Charger, Solar, and BESS infrastructure. Founded in 2018, we provide turnkey installation solutions for Level 2 and Level 3 DC fast-charging stations for EVSPs, utilities, fleet owners, and OEMs.
POSITION
Junior Project Estimator Location:
California, Arizona, Utah - Limited Travel Required Work Environment This position is not a remote position. This position may require some occasional travel to project sites to perform site investigations and validate bid conditions.
Position Summary:
Junior Construction Project Estimator will support the estimating and preconstruction process for EV charging, solar, and BESS projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction knowledge and strong analytical skills to build a career in clean energy construction estimating. Must have a strong interest in EV / Solar / BESS industry. You will be supporting the Construction Project Estimator with assigned bids. You will work directly under our Estimator to learn how to develop accurate cost estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit subcontractor bids, and prepare proposals that win projects. You will be involved in site walks, design review, and project handoff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, single-line diagrams, and site photos (civil, electrical, concrete, conduit, switchgear)
  • Review plans for scope gaps, conflicts, and value engineering opportunities; prepare scope summaries
  • Solicit, follow up, and level subcontractor and vendor quotes
  • Assist with conceptual budgets, cost database, and proposal preparation
  • Attend site walks and estimating meetings, document notes and field conditions
  • Support bid day and project handoff to operations, plus general office support as needed
Qualifications:
  • 1-3+ years as an Estimator in commercial electrical, EV charging, solar, BESS, or general construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and civil engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and engineering specs.
  • Proven experience with quantity take-off software (MS Project/Bluebeam), and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Earth, Google Map, and Internet
  • Good understanding construction means & methods for underground (trenching), concrete, and electrical work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet hard bid deadlines assigned from Construction Project Estimator.
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
