Job Description

Our client is looking for a Junior Light Estimator. Job Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Lighting Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in project estimating, lighting solutions, or construction-related sales support. The Junior Lighting Estimator will assist in preparing accurate lighting quotations by reviewing project plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors, and supporting the sales team throughout the bidding process. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to learn. Previous estimating experience is beneficial but not required, as training will be provided to the right individual. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to determine product and project needs. Prepare accurate and competitive lighting quotations and project estimates. Research products and coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and product information. Work closely with sales, project management, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely quotations. Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost analysis for lighting projects. Maintain detailed records of quotes, project documents, pricing, and correspondence. Follow up on open quotations and assist with revisions as needed. Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding project requirements and quotation details. Stay informed on lighting products, industry trends, and manufacturer updates. Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline estimating processes and increase accuracy. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to learn estimating software and industry-specific tools. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing specifications and preparing quotations. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and develop a career within the lighting and construction industry. High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus. Prior experience in estimating, construction, electrical, lighting, distribution, or a related industry is preferred but not required.
