Electrical EstimatorJob OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead the cost estimation process for electrical projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and pricing that align with project specifications and client expectations. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids, optimize costs, and support our continued reputation for excellence in the electrical construction industry.

ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications to develop precise estimatesUtilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposalsAnalyze material costs, labor requirements, and subcontractor quotes to establish competitive pricingEnsure compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standardsCollaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors through effective negotiation and communicationManage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the estimating process and adjusting estimates as neededPrepare comprehensive bid packages that include scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedulesRequirementsProven experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems and projectsStrong knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and construction drawing reviewProficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite, and BluebeamFamiliarity with electrical codes including NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 compliance standardsAbility to accurately estimate material costs, labor hours, and overall project budgetsExcellent negotiation skills for working with suppliers, subcontractors, and clientsConstruction site experience or construction management background is highly desirableEffective communication skills to liaise with clients, team members, and vendors on project scope and pricingBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurancePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
