In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical project estimates by reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Your expertise will help ensure project profitability while maintaining compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your electrical estimating skills to drive successful project outcomes. Responsibilities Review and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings on Revu Bluebeam to accurately assess project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services using estimating software such as Vision Infosoft EBM. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Manage material cost estimating and develop comprehensive budgets for electrical projects aligned with project specifications and client expectations. Ensure all estimates comply with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building codes. Conduct thorough construction drawing reviews to identify potential issues or conflicts early in the planning process. Utilize Bluebeam and Microsoft Office tools to prepare proposals, bid packages, and detailed reports efficiently. Assist in construction site visits to verify scope accuracy, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety standards such as NFPA 70 compliance. Requirements Limited experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry or related field with a basic understanding of electrical systems and building codes. Proficiency in estimating software such as Vision Infosoft EBM or equivalent; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building regulations. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Construction site experience is preferred to better understand field conditions impacting estimates. Effective communication skills for client interactions, team collaboration, and presentation of estimates. Knowledge of estimating construction project budgets, cost management strategies, material cost estimation, and contract review processes.
