This position will focus primarily on estimating and managing commercial construction projects up to approximately $750,000 . We are looking for someone with construction estimating and/or project management experience; however, we are also willing to train the right candidate who has a strong construction background, is organized, dependable, and eager to grow into the role. Position Responsibilities This position will be responsible for projects from initial bid through completion, including: Reviewing plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents Preparing estimates and project budgets for commercial construction projects Performing quantity takeoffs and developing scopes of work Soliciting and reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing Preparing and submitting bids and proposals Attending pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel Managing project schedules and maintaining communication with project stakeholders Reviewing and processing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation Monitoring project costs and budget throughout construction Assisting with procurement and material coordination Conducting site visits to monitor project progress Managing project closeout documentation Maintaining multiple small projects and bids simultaneously

Qualifications Preferred:

Previous commercial construction estimating and/or project management experience Experience managing projects from estimating through closeout Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and subcontractor scopes Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management software Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills We may consider a trainable candidate who: Has hands-on or office-based construction experience Understands basic construction terminology and processes Is comfortable learning to read plans and specifications Has strong math, computer, and organizational skills Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities Takes initiative and follows through on responsibilities Is interested in developing a long-term career in construction estimating and project management About Ed Green Construction Ed Green Construction is a fourth-generation, family-owned commercial general contractor serving Colorado.
