In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects across Colorado. Your keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and understanding of construction processes will contribute to successful project planning and cost control. With decades of shared experience, we are the premier option for General Contractors in the residential and commercial construction space. We are a lean team and the Junior Estimator will have direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to make an immediate impact with a significant career growth trajectory. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and requirements. Utilize software such as Procore, Autodesk, and Buildertrend for accessing plans and ITBs. Learn and use proprietary scheduling and customer management software. Analyze material requirements from blueprints and calculate quantities using spreadsheets and construction drawing review techniques. Assist in pricing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor bids to develop comprehensive project budgets. Speak with General Contractors for scope reviews and answer inbound questions about projects and estimates. Contribute to managing projects by maintaining accurate records of estimates, change orders, and contract documentation. Requirements Proven experience with putting together accurate estimates and proposals in an organized process. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for creating spreadsheets and managing data. Knowledge of construction industry practices, including material cost estimating, cost control, and budgeting. Construction experience or background in managing or reviewing construction projects is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, negotiation, and team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Construction management experience or understanding of estimating is preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
