Circle M Welding & Fabrication is looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator to become a key member of our team. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building accurate bids, and helping win profitable work. This is more than producing estimates - you'll work directly with ownership to develop pricing strategies, identify opportunities, improve estimating systems, and help drive the company's growth. - Prepare accurate estimates for primarily Division 5 commercial structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and welding projects.
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
- Complete quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Build detailed proposals, scopes, and bid packages.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
- Participate in project turnover meetings after award.
- Maintain organized estimating records and bid documentation.
- Help improve estimating processes and systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and clients. Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction drawings and specifications.
- 3+ years of Bluebeam or similar experience.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Preferred
- Structural steel or miscellaneous metals estimating experience.
- Welding and fabrication knowledge.
- Existing relationships within the commercial construction industry.
- Experience with estimating software and project management systems.
- Experience with Knowify or similar CRM.
Compensation Base Salary:
$60,000 annuallyPerformance Commission:
Earn additional compensation based on successfully awarded and profitable projects. Our compensation structure is designed to reward estimators who consistently help the company secure quality work while maintaining strong project profitability.
