In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating earthwork costs for commercial construction projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial planning through to completion, providing essential cost insights and fostering strong client relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize cutting-edge estimating tools, and collaborate with talented professionals dedicated to excellence in the construction industry. Duties Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to earthwork and site development Prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork activities, including excavation, grading, fill, and material requirements using estimating software such as Agtek, Bid2Win and other software tools Analyze project plans to determine quantities of materials needed and develop accurate pricing strategies based on market rates and company cost data Manage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the estimation process and implementing effective cost control measures Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation to secure optimal pricing and terms Utilize construction management software like Agtek, Bid2Win, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office tools to create comprehensive bid proposals Review construction contracts, scope of work documents, and technical drawings to ensure all aspects of earthwork are accurately estimated and aligned with project goals Conduct site visits when necessary to gather additional information, verify existing conditions, and assess site-specific challenges that impact estimates Experience Proven experience in managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry, specifically focusing on earthwork or site development projects Strong proficiency with estimating software such as Agtek and Bid2Win programs used for detailed cost analysis Extensive knowledge of construction drawing review, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings related to earthwork activities Familiarity with construction management software including Bluebeam for document markup and collaboration purposes Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and estimating construction project budgets effectively Hands-on experience with construction site activities and understanding of field conditions that influence project estimates Excellent communication skills for client negotiations, contract review, and coordinating with project teams on technical requirements Join us in shaping successful projects by delivering precise estimates that drive efficiency and excellence!
