Industrial/Machining Estimator Zimmerman Metals - 2.9 Thornton, CO Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $90,000 a year 2 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Vendor relationship building Professional networking Pricing Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Construction Management Full Job Description Responsibilities and duties: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and quotes Ensure timely completion of estimates Understand scope of work to bid and contractual requirements Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors Prepare cost analysis Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors Other duties as assigned Industrial/Machining Estimator skills 0-2 years' experience in industrial/machining estimating Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Science, Construction Management or related field Able to read and understand mechanical and engineering drawings/documents, engineering information and develop cost estimates and quotes Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Proficient in estimating systems, software, and methodology Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines Impeccable problem-solving skill
