TEKsystems is looking to hire an Estimator/Inside Sales representative to assist a client based in the Danbury, CT area. This position would take place ON SITE. Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating commercial or industrial manufacturing projects.
• Experience with boiler combustion control systems is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  Ability to learn new software platforms quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with CAD software and reading electrical drawings is an advantage.

• Analytical Skills:

  Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and perform complex calculations.

  Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work and associated costs.

• Estimate Preparation:

  Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads. Ensure estimates are comprehensive and reflective of current market conditions.

• Bid Proposals:

  Prepare and present formal bid proposals to clients, including detailed breakdowns of pricing.

• Vendor Management:

  Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and cost drivers associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies. Pay $40-55/hr.
