Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing comprehensive bids for residential construction projects. We build semi-custom homes in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential home projects, utilizing your strong construction knowledge and estimation skills to drive successful project outcomes. Duties Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and material requirements. Analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, and equipment needs to compile detailed project budgets. Manage multiple projects simultaneously by preparing accurate bid proposals, tracking costs, and updating estimates as needed. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to secure competitive pricing. Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure cost control and effective cost management. Review construction documents and manage project documentation using excel and construction management software to ensure compliance with specifications and client expectations. Qualifications Proven experience in residential construction estimating with a strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle. Proficiency in excel required. Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Strong skills for working with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions. Knowledge of construction industry standards, contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies. Familiarity with managing projects as a construction estimator within residential sectors is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes. Effective communication skills for team collaboration. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
