Project Manager/Estimator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing primarily residential construction projects, along with select commercial work, from initial estimate through completion. Projects will also include site development and excavation work, such as land clearing, grading, utilities, and roadway preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of balancing multiple projects while maintaining strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects, including site work and excavation Review plans, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and pricing Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines and budgets are met Oversee and coordinate excavation and site development activities, including grading, utilities, and drainage Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Conduct site visits and pre-construction meetings Track project progress and handle any changes or issues that arise Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction Negotiate contracts and manage project costs effectively Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth project workflows Attend weekly on-site project meetings with clients Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management of heavy civil site work and utility projects Experience in new subdivision road and housing developments, as well as commercial and industrial excavation projects Experience estimating construction projects, including performing take-offs and reviewing subcontractor and supplier bids

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, or similar role in construction Strong experience in residential construction and site development/excavation projects required Experience with commercial projects is a plus Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, excavation processes, and pricing Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and negotiation abilities Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license (site travel required)

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
