Job Description

Join Our Growing Manufacturing Team! We are a growing, high-performance manufacturing company specializing in custom fabricated parts, industrial laminates, and specialty plastic components . We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Manufacturing Estimator to support our sales and operations teams by developing accurate, competitive estimates for customer requests and new business opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys working with drawings, specifications, materials, labor requirements, and manufacturing processes and is looking for a part-time schedule. What You'll Do Review customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), drawings, specifications, and requirements to understand the complete scope of work. Prepare accurate and realistic cost estimates for products, including raw materials, labor, equipment, outside processing, and other costs . Use your knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, assembly, and testing to develop practical and competitive estimates. Work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to gather information and determine the most accurate costs and production requirements. Work with existing suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials, parts, components, and outside services. Identify appropriate domestic and international sources when needed and clearly communicate requirements to suppliers. Contact customers when necessary to clarify requirements, scope, specifications, or potential exceptions. Help identify potential manufacturing challenges and cost considerations before quotes are submitted. Develop and maintain consistent quotation and proposal formats . Maintain knowledge of our products, manufacturing capabilities, processes, and procedures. Perform other related duties as needed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Manufacturing estimating experience , preferably in a custom or engineered-product environment. Strong understanding of CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes . Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements . Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a natural aptitude for working with numbers. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong communication and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple RFQs and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales. Strong problem-solving skills and practical manufacturing judgment.
