Job Description
Estimator / Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to join a growing general contractor that specializes in federal, state, and commercial renovation projects throughout Colorado. This role involves leading projects from preconstruction through closeout, including managing estimating, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, schedules, client communication, and project execution. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment and is capable of handling multiple responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful project execution. Manage estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination for various renovation projects. Oversee schedules and maintain effective client communication. Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project documentation, including RFIs and change orders. Perform takeoffs, develop estimates, and manage projects from award through closeout. Engage in projects involving federal, state, and military work, with potential assignments at Fort Carson. Maintain a strong understanding of construction operations and financial management. Essential Skills 5+ years of construction estimating experience. 3+ years of project management experience. Proficient in construction estimating, project management, and coordination. Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, and change orders. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with commercial, federal, military, state, or municipal projects is preferred. Background in renovation, tenant improvement, facilities, institutional, or government construction. Open to candidates with a construction-related degree or strong field experience. Work Environment The work environment consists of a small office with approximately 10-15 people. The role is primarily office-based but requires regular project site visits, especially for projects at Fort Carson, with travel between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Typically, the schedule involves 3-4 days per week in Colorado Springs and 1 day per week in Pueblo. The company culture is small and collaborative, offering high visibility and autonomy, with a preference for an onsite presence but flexibility for proven performers. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Colorado Springs, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
