Estimator Location:
Dade City, FL Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM A well-established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join its growing team in Dade City, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable construction professional who can manage estimating responsibilities while supporting project execution from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating, blueprint interpretation, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis. This is not an entry-level or assistant position —a minimum of five years of estimating experience is required. Responsibilities Review construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment. Prepare detailed cost estimates, bids, and project proposals. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing. Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for value engineering. Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process. Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking as projects progress. Maintain organized estimating files and project documentation. Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within required deadlines. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience . Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications. Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and labor costs. Experience with concrete coatings, flooring systems, or specialty construction is highly preferred. Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and project teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus. What We're Looking For Detail-oriented and highly organized professional. Pay:
$56,416.47 - $67,942.41 per year
