Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experience Glass Estimator to join the Glass Doctor team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with glass and glazing projects for commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are precise, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive estimates that drive successful project execution from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your glass industry experience and estimation skills to contribute to high-profile projects and grow within a forward-thinking organization. Responsibilities Accurately estimate material costs, labor, and equipment needs while managing project budgets effectively. Utilize ServiceTitan to build and send estimates to potential clients. Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive bids that align with client expectations and project timelines. Communicate clearly with clients regarding scope changes, pricing adjustments, and project timelines to foster strong relationships. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure accurate cost control and compliance with specifications. Qualifications Proven experience in estimating for commercial and/ or residential projects, particularly involving glass or glazing work. Excellent ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Demonstrated skill in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable pricing terms. Experience managing projects as a construction estimator with a focus on cost control and budget accuracy. Ability to analyze material requirements from blueprints accurately using spreadsheets or estimating tools. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration across various stakeholders. Construction industry experience including knowledge of material costs, pricing strategies, and estimating techniques for commercial projects is essential.
