An Estimator provides cost estimates for a project, based on an evaluation of the materials, labor, time and equipment needed to complete the project. May specialize in many aspects of construction or in manufacturing and design industries.
Responsible for calculating the material that is required for a construction project or any other type of manufacturing project utilizing our estimating software (Planswift). Review necessary construction documents and consult with professionals to ensure the highest quality of work. Participate in daily team strategy and workload meetings and weekly company goal meetings. Occasionally visit job sites to work with our Field Team to achieve optimal assemblies and results. Learn and work with proprietary scheduling and communicative software.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required - Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management A Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or estimating Working knowledge of residential construction, business process, and software systems preferred Ability to multitask which requires strong prioritization and organizational skills. Incorporate a balance of urgency and quality into all tasks and directives. Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills. Natural process improvement-oriented mindset
