Millwork estimator

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Millwork Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project managers to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and precision. Duties Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work for millwork components Prepare comprehensive estimates using construction estimating software, including material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value without compromising quality Collaborate with project management teams to develop accurate budgets and schedules for millwork packages Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, and gather information essential for precise estimating Monitor project costs throughout construction to support cost control efforts and ensure adherence to budgets Assist in contract review and scope clarification to prevent scope creep and manage contractual obligations effectively Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on millwork or woodwork projects strong knowledge of the ins and out of the cabinetry and millwork, having a full understand of how millwork should b engineered and built is a must! Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable Familiarity with construction site operations, safety standards, and management processes Ability to interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents accurately Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detailJoin our team as a Millwork Estimator and be part of a vibrant environment where your expertise directly influences the success of innovative construction projects.
