Timber & Truss Sales Representative Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our Timber & Truss division. This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in the construction or building materials industry who is passionate about providing high-quality structural solutions and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and working closely with internal design and production teams to ensure project success from concept to completion.Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and industrial construction sectors.Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects, developers, and engineers.Product Expertise:
Provide in-depth knowledge of timber and truss systems, offering guidance on product selection, application, and specifications.Quoting & Proposals:
Prepare and present accurate, competitive quotes and proposals based on client needs and project requirements.Collaboration:
Work closely with the design, estimating, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate project execution and timely delivery.Market Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform sales strategy and identify growth opportunities.After-Sales Support:
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns, coordinating site visits, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.Qualifications:
Previous success selling in the building materials, construction, or structural components industry. Knowledge of timber, lumber and trusses. Strong understanding of prefabricated wood products and their applications. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-specific software. Valid Driver's license.Benefits
