Job Description

Estimator Wanted:
Thrive in the High-Octane World of Auto Auctions and Collision Recon at Franks Detail Imagine you're in the driver's seat of a high-speed chase—engines roaring, deals racing by, and every decision you make steers the outcome. That's the pulse of the auto auction and collision recon world, and Franks Detail is looking for an Estimator to take the wheel. This isn't your average 9-to-5; it's a fast-paced, high-stakes gig where you turn wrecked rides into auction-ready gold. If you're ready to trade the slow lane for a career where your hustle directly fuels your paycheck, buckle up—Franks Detail is your pit crew. For over 30 years, we've been the go-to partner for Manheim Auctions, the titan of the auto industry. We don't just keep up with the chaos of collisions and recon—we dominate it, transforming banged-up vehicles into profit machines. Our team is a crew of go-getters who question the ordinary, blending the precision of auto repair with the grit of a comeback story. We're talking stability that lasts longer than a classic car's legacy, plus a culture that rewards hard work like a victory lap. At Franks, we're not just hiring; we're building a squad of pros ready to evolve, certify, and cash in on their skills.
The Role:
Estimator in the Auction Fast Lane As our Estimator, you'll be the sharp-eyed strategist sizing up vehicles in our collision center and auto auction recon environment. You'll assess damage, craft spot-on estimates, and orchestrate the process that turns wrecks into winners. This job's not for couch potatoes, it's dynamic, demanding, and perfect for those who thrive on calling the shots. You'll dive into the auction world, learning its rhythm like a DJ mixing a perfect track, and take charge of parts ordering and management to keep the operation humming. Got basic estimating experience? That's your ticket in. No I-CAR certification needed (we'll cover that lifelong credential for you). If you've got experience with CCC One or other estimating software, that's a turbo boost—shout it out, because it'll help you hit the ground running. What You'll Do (No Fluff, Just the Real Stuff):
Damage Detective:
Inspect vehicles with laser focus, spotting every dent and ding in our collision center and auction recon setups. Your eye for detail keeps the process tight.
Estimate Ace:
Write accurate, competitive estimates that balance cost, quality, and speed. Stay cool under pressure, delivering quotes that nail clients need and company goals.
Parts Powerhouse:
Manage parts ordering and inventory—experience isn't a must, but a willingness to learn will make you a supply chain rockstar.
Auction Adaptor:
Get comfy in the Manheim auction scene, traveling between our two prime locations (valid driver's license required—think road trips with a purpose).
Self-Starter Swagger:
Own your schedule, execute like a pro, and pivot when the pace picks up. No babysitting here; it's about flowing smoothly and grinding hard.
Team Player:
Work alongside techs, auction staff, and recon crews to keep the operation seamless, from first look to final handover. What We're Looking For (Straight Talk, No Chaser): Basic estimating experience—just enough to know a bumper bruise from a frame fail.
Eagerness to learn:
Ready to soak up the auction culture like a sponge. CCC One experience? Big win. Familiar with other estimating software? Tell us—it's a shortcut to success. Valid driver's license and flexibility to zip between locations (short trips, big impact).
Self-motivated mindset:
You manage yourself without needing a push. Overthinkers, we'll nudge you to keep it simple.
Bonus points:
Parts ordering or management experience isn't required, but if you've got it, you'll roll out faster than a hot rod. This gig is for those itching for a change—sick of jobs where your effort doesn't move the needle? Here, you're in the driver's seat: Crush it, and watch the bonuses, incentives, and performance-based pay pile up. It's like planting a seed and watching it grow into a money tree. Why Choose Franks?
The Perks That Keep You Hooked:
Unshakable Stability:
30+ years strong—we're the foundation you can build a career on, not a fly-by-night startup.
Top-Notch Benefits:
Full health, dental, and vision coverage—because questioning the system doesn't mean skipping real protection.
Paid Time Off:
Time to recharge, chase side hustles, or just kick back and reflect.
Winning Culture:
Join a team that's part family, part pit crew—think quick laughs over coffee, real talk, and respect for the grind. Ready to Take the Wheel? If this job description's got your engine revving, don't just sit there daydreaming—hit the gas! and let's talk about how you can own this role.
