Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wastewater Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, sewer systems, and related facilities. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are precise, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. Duties Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to wastewater projects to interpret material requirements and scope of work Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services using estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools Utilize Bluebeam and other construction management software to review plans, markups, and collaborate with project teams effectively Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by pricing materials accurately and managing project budgets from initial estimate through final cost adjustments Conduct negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards Manage multiple estimation projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising accuracy or detail Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and address scope changes or technical challenges during the bidding process Skills Proven experience in construction estimating within the wastewater or civil infrastructure industry Strong proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Xactimate, and other estimating or construction management software Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents Skilled in cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for commercial wastewater projects Ability to manage projects as a construction estimator from initial scope review through final bid submission Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting Knowledge of construction site practices and experience reviewing construction drawings on-site when necessary Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with estimating material requirements from blueprints and managing project budgets effectively Join us in shaping vital wastewater infrastructure while advancing your career in a vibrant environment that values innovation, precision, and teamwork!
