Confidential Employer. Job Description Lead the preparation of complex commercial estimates and proposals. Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness. Develop competitive pricing strategies designed to secure profitable work. Perform detailed drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling estimating. Review estimates and help maintain high standards of estimating accuracy. Conduct bid reviews and identify project risks before award. Identify value engineering opportunities and support conceptual budgeting. Participate in project turnover meetings to ensure smooth handoffs to operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and industry partners. Support efforts to develop new and repeat business. Mentor estimators and contribute to training and team development. Improve estimating procedures, systems, and best practices. Help minimize profit fade by producing complete, accurate, and constructible estimates. Qualifications 4+ years of commercial drywall experience. 3+ years of metal framing and ACT/acoustical ceiling estimating experience. Strong knowledge of commercial construction plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents. Experience independently preparing complex estimates and competitive bids. Understanding of bid strategy, risk assessment, value engineering, and project turnover. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with preconstruction and operations teams. Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of other estimators is preferred. Established relationships with general contractors or customers and the ability to help generate new business are strongly preferred.
