Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in healthcare construction to join our growing team in Atlanta. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the pursuit and planning of complex healthcare projects, partnering with operations leaders, subcontractors, and clients to develop competitive, accurate estimates that drive successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings strong preconstruction experience, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of healthcare facility construction, renovations, and occupied environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates for healthcare construction projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine accurate project costs.
Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.
Develop quantity takeoffs, scopes of work, and cost analyses.
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating process.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project handoff.
Support client presentations, budget discussions, and preconstruction services throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, labor trends, and material costs.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
Healthcare construction estimating experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with estimating software and quantity takeoff tools.
Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and cost control.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
