- 11352 Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Construction Cost Estimator for our Muscatine, IA office.
What You Will Be Doing:
Prepares material take-offs and reviews take-offs of others from planning documents or engineering drawings. Prepares detailed breakdown of components and elements of estimates for systems and subsystems. Prepares the submittal package including basis of estimate, quantity backup, cost data and estimate. Accumulates, evaluates, and documents historical cost data for the development of future estimates. Contact vendors and suppliers for current material costs. Prepares and/or reviews final Engineer's estimate. Working knowledge of general construction practices and processes. Work with the estimating department to assure that projects are progressing ahead in an effective and efficient manner. Attend off site and in office meetings as required to coordinate efforts with external clients and internal estimating staff.Required Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Requires 0- 5 years of relevant experience Must possess the ability to read construction documentation Previous construction experience is a plus Must possess strong PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
