Junior Cost Estimator (3853) at Navarro Inc. in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Junior Cost Estimator (3853)in Idaho Falls, ID. Position Purpose + Perform tasks and work scope as defined in the Principal Duties and Responsibilities and as directed by management. + Work in accordance with approved training, policies, procedures, and instructions and in a safe manner. + Maintain assigned reading and required reading as required for the position. + Perform work in conformance with the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS), Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) principles and functions, and Stop Work Authority. + Participate in the identification and resolution of health and safety issues through active involvement and support of company safety programs. + Make recommendations for innovative ideas or approaches to processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness. + Assist in the preparation and review of procedures and other related documents, as applicable. + Provide support to cost savings initiatives, as applicable. + Complete assigned training, qualifications/certifications, assigned reading, and required reading. + Ensure recurring training and qualifications/certifications remain current. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities + Apply basic cost estimating principles, concepts, and practices in support of project and program requirements. + Prepare and develop multi-disciplined cost estimates that are complete, well-documented, and based on defined project requirements. + Support the integration of engineering, maintenance, operations, environmental, construction, and other project activities. + Participate in estimating team meetings to identify and define project deliverables. + Facilitate identification of estimating steps and processes required to develop comprehensive cost estimates in accordance with approved procedures and policies. + Assist in developing clear and well-documented Basis of Estimate (BOE) statements and supporting documentation. + Assist in establishing estimating priorities and developing complete cost estimate packages. + Identify and analyze schedule considerations, resource conflicts, cost impacts, and issues related to assigned scope of work. + Recommend or assist in developing solutions to unique estimating situations where no established processes or guidance exist. Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience) + Specialist / Associate II

+ Experience performing construction quantity takeoffs from engineering drawings, sketches, and related documents. + Estimating experience within the DOE complex is preferred. + Prior experience with Department of Energy Capital Asset Projects (DOE
