Estimator - Restoration & Insurance Claims Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our restoration and reconstruction team . The Estimator will inspect properties for damage, prepare accurate Xactimate estimates , and work with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and Project Managers to ensure restoration projects are properly scoped, estimated, and approved. The ideal candidate has experience in property restoration, construction, insurance claims, Xactimate estimating, mitigation, reconstruction, and insurance supplements . Key Responsibilities Inspect residential properties for water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage . Prepare detailed Xactimate estimates for mitigation, reconstruction, repair, and restoration projects. Create and revise estimates using Xactimate . Review insurance scopes and communicate with insurance adjusters regarding approvals, supplements, and disputed items. Document property damage with photos, measurements, and detailed notes . Work closely with Project Managers, technicians, subcontractors, homeowners, and insurance companies . Track estimate revisions, approvals, supplements, and project updates. Explain estimates, scope of work, and the restoration process to customers. Ensure estimates accurately reflect the damage, required repairs, and restoration work. Key Qualifications 2+ years of estimating experience in restoration, construction, or insurance. Xactimate experience required. Knowledge of property restoration, mitigation, reconstruction, and repair work . Experience with insurance claims and restoration estimating . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and negotiation skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Xactimate certification. Experience with Symbility or similar estimating software . Knowledge of building codes and construction practices . Experience with insurance supplements, disputed items, and scope revisions .
