Allegiant Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Estimator to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This position is responsible for designing fire alarm systems and preparing accurate, competitive estimates and proposals. The Fire Alarm Estimator will also support sales efforts, build strong customer relationships, and coordinate assigned projects from quotation through closeout and billing. Responsibilities Design fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and project specifications. Review blueprints, plans, specifications, addenda, and related project documents to determine the scope of work. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and proposals for fire alarm projects. Obtain and evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Identify project risks, exclusions, clarifications, and value-engineering opportunities. Maintain organized estimating documentation and records for assigned opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and other business partners. Attend customer meetings, job-site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project coordination meetings as needed. Support business development activities and assist with identifying new sales opportunities. Coordinate awarded projects from initial quotation through completion, closeout, and billing. Work closely with sales, operations, project management, field personnel, and administrative teams to support successful project execution. Maintain accurate and timely communication regarding project scope, pricing, schedules, and customer expectations. Follow Allegiant Fire Protection's policies, procedures, safety requirements, and Operating Code at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate Previous experience designing, estimating, selling, or managing fire alarm projects is preferred. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, installation requirements, and industry practices. Familiarity with applicable fire and life-safety codes and standards, including NFPA requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and other construction documents. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop accurate estimates while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, architects, engineers, authorities having jurisdiction, and internal team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant estimating, design, or project-management software. Customer-focused, results-driven, trustworthy, dependable, and committed to quality. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license in accordance with Company policy. Work Environment Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with travel to customer locations, job sites, pre-bid meetings, and industry events as required.
