An Estimator provides cost estimates for a project, based on an evaluation of the materials, labor, time and equipment needed to complete the project. May specialize in many aspects of construction or in manufacturing and design industries.
ANR Construction is a growing construction company. We are seeking a Production Manager/Estimator to add to our team. Estimator is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we have everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Estimator must aggressively follow-up to ensure that bids are received. A Construction Production Manager oversees projects from signed contract to completion, coordinating crews, materials, schedules, inspections, quality, budgets, and customer communication to ensure projects are completed on time and profitably.
Job Duties will include:
Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish Review contract documents and attend pre-bid meetings as required. Calculate takeoffs from plans to determine quantity accuracy. Develop strategy for execution of work in the most cost-effective manner. Prepare accurate breakdown of labor hours material, quantities, and necessary tools/equipment for each project. Conduct construction estimating and negotiate pricing with vendors Work closely with operations to ensure accuracy of data used to estimate the project. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all tasks Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers Manage project budgets and ensure cost control measures are implemented Review all change order requests to confirm if maximized profit opportunity Conduct progress and post construction review of projected and actual construction costs compared to estimated bid costs. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards Utilize project management software such as Buildertrend and other to track project milestones Review signed contracts, scopes, drawings, selections, and permits before production. Create the construction schedule and coordinate start dates. Schedule crews, subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, dumpsters, and equipment. Qualified Candidates:
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials Proficient in project management principles and practices.
