Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator, Construction to develop accurate, timely cost estimates for commercial real estate and tenant improvement projects. In this performance-driven, client-focused role, you will analyze drawings and scopes, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and prepare budgets, bids, and value-engineering options that support strategic decisions. You will collaborate closely with project managers, brokers, and clients, leverage cost databases and market benchmarks, and help drive sustainable, innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects. Responsibilities Lead cost estimating for commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from concept through final bid Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns Develop and validate budgets, cost models, and value-engineering options to support client decisions Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure complete, competitive coverage Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and brokers to align estimates with schedules and client goals Prepare proposals, bid packages, and cost reports; present findings to internal leaders and clients Maintain historical cost data, market pricing, and benchmarking tools for accurate forecasting Support risk assessment, contingency development, and change order pricing throughout the project lifecycle Required Skills Construction cost estimating Quantity takeoff Blueprint and specification reading Commercial construction methods and materials Cost modeling and benchmarking Value engineering Bid and proposal preparation Subcontractor and vendor bid analysis Estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, Cost X) Microsoft Excel and cost database tools Risk and contingency assessment Tenant improvement and commercial interiors
