Job description:GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To analyze and interpret customer documents such as; prints, engineering specifications, product descriptions, sketches, and pictures, to properly establish a manufacturing process and produce a quote that is profitable for both the customer and Rockford Specialties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with customers and vendors to prepare project quotations Identify customer requirements and needs Value-engineer customer projects Design around customers' requirements Interpret Customer documents and samples Identify best fit process steps to produce the finished product Prepare 3D models and drawings Utilize SolidWorks 3D modeling (3D sketching, assemblies, drawings) Perform Drawing preparation for customers, vendors, and manufacturing Prepare some 3D model presentation for customers showing their graphics and products on the display (rendering) may be required. Investigate lower cost alternatives Support manufacturing with technical information and interpretation Interpret and produce quotes from customer prints to offer best possible price Communicate with customers on special requirements, status and delivery Work with vendors to achieve proper price point and on time delivery Research and find new resources for vendors, materials, processes or machines to assist overall quote/project package Monitor and ensure progress of new product throughout the launch process through to customer delivery and feedback Adhere to Company policies as described in Associate handbook. Follow all procedures as they pertain to this position. Follow all quality standards and procedures. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Other tasks as assigned. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one-year to two-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusMATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Similar remote jobs
