Overview Lead Estimator Restore It Chicago | Westchester, IL | Full-Time, In Person Restore It Chicago is a water, fire, mold, and biohazard restoration company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We're hiring a Lead Estimator to go out on jobsite calls, write up accurate Xactimate estimates, sell the job to the homeowner, and help drive the estimate through to a paid invoice.

PAY & SCHEDULE

$50,000

•65,000 base salary + commission on sold and collected jobs Full-time, standard business hours, with rotating on-call availability On-call rotation includes carrying a shared on-call phone (shared among multiple team members) to help answer incoming calls Flex position — some days you'll be needed to help support crews on cat events and flooded basements when call volume is high Some days may involve business development work to help bring in new referral sources and business

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Respond to water, mold, fire, and biohazard loss calls and meet homeowners on-site Assess the scope of damage and write a complete estimate using Xactimate Present and explain the estimate to the homeowner before leaving the jobsite, and sell the job Coordinate with the Mitigation Manager to schedule crews, jobs, and workload Support mitigation crews on cat events, storm response, and flooded basements as needed Submit estimates and invoices to insurance carriers Handle collections and manage adjuster and homeowner communications to secure payout Represent Restore It Chicago as a business development rep when needed — building referral relationships and bringing in new business Maintain accurate, well-documented estimates and job files

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of restoration or estimating experience required Xactimate experience required IICRC certifications recommended (WRT, ASD, or similar) Strong sales and customer-facing communication skills Comfortable negotiating with insurance adjusters Valid Driver's License Ability to travel locally to jobsites, with occasional flexibility for cat/storm events Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening, subject to applicable law Pass a Drug Test
