Position Overview We are looking to add an Estimator to our preconstruction team. This role will focus on developing accurate cost estimates and supporting the bid process for commercial and multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable reviewing project plans and specifications, and capable of coordinating with multiple departments to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive. Key Responsibilities Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope and requirements Perform quantity takeoffs to calculate materials, labor, and equipment needs for commercial construction projects Develop cost estimates by gathering pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors Assist in preparing detailed bid packages and proposals Collaborate with project managers and the preconstruction team to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope, pricing, and availability Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and supporting documentation Research previous project history to compare scope and costs and improve estimate accuracy Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related construction role Bachelor's degree preferred (field flexible) Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of commercial construction processes and materials Attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data and calculations Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
