Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team at our Fort Wayne Branch. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, vendors, general contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive bids that support the company's growth and profitability objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction practices, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors. Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates and bid proposals. Analyze project risks, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities. Maintain and update estimating databases, labor units, and pricing information. Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during project turnover meetings. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Develop relationships with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and industry partners. Support business development efforts by identifying and pursuing bidding opportunities. Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within established deadlines. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience or equivalent field experience in electrical construction. Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, installation methods, and construction processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and contract documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or manufacturing project experience. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and procurement processes. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience.
