This position requires commercial construction experience on projects ranging from $10M and up. Commercial Construction Estimator Responsibilities Reviews project plans, specifications, estimating scopes and pricing. Prepares budget and general conditions estimates for entire project prior to bid date and reviews budgets and general conditions. Ensures the flow of project information is maintained and documented. Prepares and reviews all bid and/or estimate forms for submissions. Assists in developing subcontractor solicitation strategies, analyzing subcontractor bids and documenting subcontractor prequalification prior to bid date. Assists in coordinating insurance requirements as needed. Compiles pre-bid questions for submission to the owner. Informs staff of project requirements and owner directives, and assists in development of plans to meet stated goals. Attends project site pre-bid meetings and site tours. Reviews schedule and constructability issues with project operations staff. Organizes coordination meetings. Ensures all data placed in the historical database is accurate.

• Prepare project clarifications and bid assumptions for submission to owners. Proficient in computer software programs used in preconstruction with particular emphasis on estimating software. Prepares and presents budget presentations to owners and architects. Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations. Commercial Construction Estimator Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree preferred 5+ years of estimating experience on commercial ground-up projects in excess of $10M Must be able to manage multiple estimating projects, create and maintain project budgets, prioritize effectively, and recognize and address work related issues as they occur. Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings. Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use estimating software, Word, Excel, Outlook, Destini, PlanSwift, I sqft, bid management, online plan rooms, and database applications.
