Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential, commercial, and specialty electrical projects. This role will involve reviewing plans, assessing job requirements, visiting job sites, calculating material and labor costs, and working closely with customers and field teams.

The ideal candidate will have electrical estimating or hands-on electrical experience, strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, and the ability to produce accurate estimates that support profitable projects and smooth execution.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints, plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope and requirements.

Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, permits, and other project costs.

Perform material and labor take-offs for electrical projects.

Visit residential and commercial job sites to evaluate existing electrical conditions and determine project requirements.

Prepare clear and timely proposals for customers, contractors, and property owners.

Communicate with customers and General Contractors to clarify project scope, requirements, and pricing.

Follow up on estimates and customer inquiries throughout the sales process.

Close projects while maintaining appropriate gross profit margins.

Maintain accurate project information, estimates, and customer activity in the CRM.Work closely with field leaders and electricians to ensure estimated labor and materials align with actual project requirements.

Support smooth project handoffs from estimating to field execution.

Review completed projects and field feedback to improve estimating accuracy and future project performance.

Qualifications and CertificationsTwo or more years of experience in electrical estimating, electrical project management, or hands-on electrical work.

Journeyman Electrician experience or background is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical codes.

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, plans, specifications, and site drawings.

Knowledge of electrical trade estimating, material take-offs, labor calculations, and project costing.

Experience with electrical estimating software such as McCormick, Accubid, PlanSwift, or similar platforms.

Experience using CRM systems and standard office software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple estimates and maintain timely proposal turnaround.

Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
