Job Description

Czarniecki Construction, Inc. is a leading installer and supplier specializing in supplying and installing cabinets, doors/hardware, specialties, signage, window shades, and material on commercial/industrial projects. With over 30 years in business, we pride ourselves on delivering efficient installation services and maintaining exceptional quality control. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to oversee projects from estimating through completion. The ideal candidate has commercial construction experience, communicates effectively with contractors and crews, and can successfully manage multiple projects, schedules, and jobsite coordination simultaneously. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Review project scope, schedules, labor requirements (Union/Non-Union), exclusions, and potential risks. Send material takeoffs to vendors and subcontractors and gather competitive pricing. Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Develop and maintain project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while monitoring progress, costs, and timelines. Coordinate with General Contractors, vendors, field crews, and internal teams throughout the bidding and project lifecycle. Conduct site visits to gather project information and monitor ongoing work. Utilize software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Smartsheets, Autodesk, Excel, and other estimating/project management tools. Review and verify contract documentation post-award and coordinate internal approvals. Maintain organized project files, estimating logs, and project documentation. Provide leadership, communication, and support to project team members. Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and process improvement initiatives. Plan proactively to ensure bids, schedules, and project deliverables are completed on time. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and/or project management. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project scope management. Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Smartsheets, Autodesk, or similar platforms. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external teams. Experience with subcontractor/vendor negotiations preferred. Detail-oriented with strong budgeting, scheduling, and risk management abilities.
