Role Description The Security Sales Design Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH. Will be responsible for designing integrated electronic security solutions while meeting customer needs and budget, preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals, and supporting the sales team throughout the project lifecycle. This position serves as the technical bridge between sales, operations, and customers by developing system designs, creating bid packages, estimating labor and materials, and assisting with project execution through completion. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of security systems, estimating experience, and proficiency with design and takeoff software such as Bluebeam. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication abilities to build trust and understand client requirements. Demonstrated proficiency in Project Estimation, including creating accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, and proposals for security technology and services. Knowledge of physical and electronic security solutions (e.g., access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection) and basic system design concepts. Ability to read site plans, conduct walkthroughs, and translate technical needs into practical, cost-effective security solutions. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfort working on-site in client facilities and collaborating with technical, installation, and operations teams.
Preferred:
Experience in the security industry or related fields (e.g., low-voltage, construction, facilities), and familiarity with estimating or CRM tools.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
