If this speaks to you, we'd like to connect. At PSA Architects, a Drafter plays a key role in supporting the development of architectural drawing sets for commercial and tenant improvement projects. This position requires a working knowledge of drafting techniques, construction documentation, and computer-aided design (AutoCAD/Revit). The Designer will assist in translating design concepts into accurate, code-compliant drawings while coordinating with internal team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and revise architectural drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Revit) Develop floor plans, elevations, and construction details from redlines and markups Assist in space planning and test fits based on client requirements Coordinate drawings with internal disciplines (PM, MEP, signage, etc.) Maintain drawing standards, layering, and file organization Support construction documentation and permit sets Incorporate field changes and as-built conditions into drawings
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Drafting, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of drafting experience (retail/commercial preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit a plus) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Good communication and willingness to learn
Preferred:
Experience with tenant fit-outs or retail environments Familiarity with basic building codes and ADA requirements
